Yosemite.1 Actual Elapsed Time: 1 minute (60 seconds) Usually there is a serene quality to the view of Half Dome Peak in Yosemite Valley. But in this scene (sped up 10 times faster than normal), you can see that the air flowing over the valley is in fact quite active. Clouds form as warm air, rising up from the valley, collides with the cooler air above. There is even more going on in this scene. To find out, view it at faster timescales. How This Clip Was Made: This time-lapse video was created by shooting one minute of regular video. Only 1 of every 6 frames of video was digitized and transferred to a computer.
