When you are finished recording for the day, slide the power switch to Off Make a notation in your production journal about the images you just took and include the date and the start and end times.
Put away the equipment. If you are doing a long-term project, and you can't keep the camera and the objects you are photographing out, make sure you leave markers so you will know where to put things the next time. If you ran down the batteries, charge them for the next shoot. You want to do as much as you can to make sure equipment is ready for the next time (see Advice on Equipment Care). Repeat these steps as many times as necessary to capture the entire event for your project. You have now completed the production phase of this project. Now it's time to head into post-production. |
